Lucky Day Farm

Born and Raised

We are a hobby farm located on the edge of the beautiful Alberta foothills. I was raised here on this land and am now enjoying the benifits of raising my own family here.

We enjoy all the area has to offer and try to maintain a closeness with the land. Growing up here my family raised beef cattle on a small scale and although my husband and I still maintain a small herd we have gotten out of cows for the most part and gotten into many other things!

Our family consists of my husband (who graciously supports my "farming habit"), our two wonderful boys ages 11 & 14 and myself.

For me there really is no other "home" for this is where my heart lies.

We do have quite a variety of other creatures living with us here on our farm. Some have come by chance, some with a purpose and others because they needed a home.

Rarely if ever is there an animal in need turned away from our home.

We are not an official rescue but we do support rescue and encourage others to do so as well. I am involved in our areas rescue group R.O.A.R. Society and foster dogs through this organization.

Please feel free to contact me about our foster dogs, dog sitting services, Fainting Goats, or just to shoot the breeze.

***If you would like to be put on our wait list for 2014 Fainting Goat babies please contact us.

***If you are someone who is interested in eating naturally raised, grass fed beef the way mother nature intended, please contact us about purchasing one of our home raised steers on the hoof for your freezer!

Our cattle are raised in a low stress, natural environment. They are pastured on good untreated grass all summer and fed good untreated hay in the winter. The only regular supplement they get is salt and mineral. No injections, no hormones, no over processed feed.

We can make arrangements to hold over & winter your animal if needed and you can chose to use our local butcher or one of your choice.

Please contact for more information and prices.
