We are a hobby farm located on the edge of the beautiful Alberta foothills. I was raised here on this land and am now enjoying the benifits of raising my own family here.
We enjoy all the area has to offer and try to maintain a closeness with the land. Growing up here my family raised beef cattle on a small scale and although my husband and I still maintain a small herd we have gotten out of cows for the most part and gotten into many other things!
Our family consists of my husband (who graciously supports my "farming habit"), our two wonderful boys ages 16 & 19 and myself.
For me there really is no other "home" for this is where my heart lies.
We have had quite a variety of other creatures living with us here on our farm over the years. Some have come by chance, some with a purpose and others because they needed a home. We have far less variety and numbers now that the kids are older but fur family will always have a place here!
Rarely if ever is there an animal in need turned away from our home.
We are not an official rescue but we do support rescue and encourage others to do so as well. I am very involved in our areas rescue group R.O.A.R. Society and foster dogs through this organization as well as manage the ROAR Animal Shelter in Rocky Mountain House.
